The Karma Cart Series from JamStands by Ultimate Support, which includes this JS-KC90 transport cart, redefines the concept that good things happen to hard-working musicians and sound engineers. If you've ever hauled a heavy guitar amp, set of speakers, drum kit or an 88-note keyboard, you know how wonderful the invention of the wheel can be. The Karma Cart Series offers not only a set of wheels and platform but it's a reconfigurable tool that transforms into eight different equipment carts and hand trucks with very little effort.

The latch to unlock the metal bars is done with a cable for each side. It was challenging to unlock the latch. I pulled on the latch one time and it wouldn't unlock. I attempted to unlock it once more and the cable broke. It was a clearance item/close out item, and adhesive that held the rubber piece that is alongside the rails was not glued properly and was coming up in several places. It was very cheaply constructed, and I had high hopes for this to work to carry my gear around, but caution. Stay away from it. It was absolutely a waste of money.

This cart comes fully assembled in the box but I had the hardest time learning how to properly raise the handles on each side. You have to firmly press each side in for it to lock into place and stand vertical, a tough task if you don't do it correctly. Otherwise this stands rolls well and transports really easy when folded.

Adjust to carry full set or a few pieces. Maybe squirt some wd40 at joints so it's easier to change the shape. Wish I'd had one in my 20s.

I have not had occasion to really use the cart yet, of course that will be the real test. But, it seems very well made, plenty beefy to carry all my drum gear, which will save my back! It was at first quite difficult to slide the frame open, but after a few times it seems much easier now. To me this seems a good thing, since it indicates the frame pieces were made with tight tolerances. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it comes out of the box with an extremely strong rubber smell, had to let it air out for a week or so before bringing it in the house. The smell seems to now have dissipated and it is fine.

  • Hands down the best cart I've ever used

It's in the title. I live in NYC, and I use this cart for most gigs I do here. I've rolled this things literally miles going from gig to give over my few years of ownership, and this thing has held up like a champ. Why am I reviewing this now? Because today it got hit by a car. AND IT'S STILL FINE. The front casters are not as responsive as other carts I've used, but I think that's why they've lasted so long. A little less play means less breakdown. When this breaks after 15 years of use in the impending apocalypse, I'm going to find an emptied out Guitar Center to get this cart to push around all of my survival gear. Also, my drums.
