The JBL JRX225 is a dual 15" two-way PA speaker system designed for live performance and playback. JBL engineers optimized every component to deliver professional-grade sound affordably. The JRX225 utilizes two 15" low-frequency drivers, each with a 2.5" edgewound ribbon voice coil that provides more surface area than round-wire coils for increased efficiency and power handling. A 1" polymer-diaphragm compression driver maximizes high-frequency performance and reliability. With its dual 15" woofers, the JRX225 produces thunderous bass and full-range sound perfect for any venue.

Massive Power and Bass Extension

The dual 15" woofers provide extra low-frequency power and extension, eliminating the need for a separate subwoofer. An advanced crossover network shapes the frequency response and ensures coherent sound where the woofers and tweeter meet. The upper woofer handles midrange and bass, while the lower woofer focuses purely on bass to reduce midrange phase cancelation and improve sound quality and coverage. High-voltage components enable the crossover to handle high power without distortion.

Superior High-Frequency Performance

A Progressive Transition high-frequency waveguide provides wide, even coverage, low distortion and a smooth frequency response. The 1" polymer-diaphragm compression driver delivers clear, accurate highs. SonicGuard protection prevents overpowering the tweeter without affecting performance.

Road-Ready and Rugged

The JRX225's .75" MDF enclosure is highly durable and acoustically optimized. It features recessed, all-steel handles for easy transport and rigging. With its massive woofers, robust components and sturdy cabinet, the JRX225 is built to withstand the demands of touring and handle up to 2,000 watts of power.

      We are currently using this as the rear channel in an all-JBL home theater system (mains: JRX215, center channel: two JRX212, rear: JRX225), with RR and RL blended to the single JRX225. It is tall enough to put the horn at ear-level behind the listener, and provides plenty of low-end oomph when the soundtrack has it available. I'd hate to have to haul a pair of these to gigs, but they are great for the application for which we are using them.

      I bought a pair of these a month ago to go along with the pair of JRX215s and JRX212s I got a month before these. I have these in my music area in my basement. I just sit in my chair in awe listening to these low and high volumes! All I need is the JRX subs to complete the series!
