JBL PRX425 15" 2-Way Loudspeaker System

Description
The JBL PRX425 15" 2-way loudspeaker system delivers robust, full-range sound ideal for clubs, schools, houses of worship and more. The PRX425 passive loudspeakers provide the low-end punch demanded by today's popular genres with dual 15" woofers. Perfect for rocking mid-sized venues and larger clubs without needing additional subwoofers, the PRX425 loudspeakers offer high-powered performance at an affordable price.
Dual 15" Woofers Deliver Impactful Bass
The PRX425 loudspeakers feature dual 15" low-frequency drivers with lightweight cones for tight, distortion-free bass with plenty of headroom. With a frequency response down to 45Hz, these woofers provide the solid low end needed for modern music styles. The woofers are optimized for sensitivity and power handling, giving the PRX425 loudspeakers the capability to get loud without compromising sound quality.
1" High-Frequency Horn Driver
A 1" high-frequency horn driver provides clear, articulate highs up to 20,000Hz. The horn's 100°x100° dispersion pattern delivers sound evenly over a wide area, ensuring the entire audience experiences the full frequency range. With a compression driver and waveguide, the high-frequency horn reproduces vocals and instrument details accurately at any volume level.
Rugged Birch/Poplar Enclosure
Each PRX425 loudspeaker is housed in an 18mm birch/poplar enclosure coated in resilient DuraFlex finish. At just over 73 lb., the PRX425 is portable yet substantial enough to withstand the rigors of frequent transport and setup. Twelve M10 suspension points provide safe installation in permanent or temporary applications. The 16-gauge steel grilles protect the components from damage and the enclosures are designed to prevent unwanted resonances that can color the sound.
Professional Connectivity
Neutrik speakON NL4MP connectors provide secure connections between the PRX425 loudspeakers and your amplifier or mixer. The speakON connectors are rated to handle high power levels, ensuring optimal signal transfer for the best possible sound. With the professional-level connectivity and construction, the PRX425 loudspeakers are ideal for serious musicians, audio engineers and anyone who demands superior sound.

I got a great buy on these "used" from GC and saved almost $500 on the pair. They looked like new speakers that had slight dents in the grills but nothing too noticeable. These speakers sound really good. The PRX425s have good, tight bass and smooth highs. I'm driving them with a QSC GX7 - 1000 watts per channel at 4 ohms - and they really crank out some SPL. The PRX425 pumps out some pretty good bass but in my opinion, you still need a good subwoofer for most of todays music. I have a single PRX618-XLF sub and paired with the PRX425s, I have a system which is capable of playing very loudly and with a good professional quality sound. I have the low pass filter for the PRX425s set at 50hz, allowing them to help the single subwoofer carry the bass content. I plan to add another PRX618-XLF and when I do, I will raise the high pass filter to 75 - 80hz and let the subs carry the lows. Another great thing is that the PRX425s are lighter than most of the other dual 15 speakers out there. They are substantially lighter than the JBL JRX125, the Yamaha S215V, the Behringer VP2520 the Cerwin Vega 215 .... the list goes on. These are definitely one of the best purchases our band has ever made and I am completely satisfied with the PRX425.
