JHS Pedals, The Milkman Slap/Echo with Tim Marcus

JHS Pedals, The Milkman quick listen

Description
The right side of the pedal is the boost side. This boost is a discreet amplifier based circuit with tons of power and character. Simply set it low at unity gain for an always-on enhancer that fattens up and clarifies your tone, or turn more clockwise to push your tube amplifier into sweet natural overdrive.
The left side of the pedal is the echo/slap delay circuit. This circuit is designed to be a hybrid of tape echo and analog BBD delay. The controls are simple and it sounds good in every setting. The “Slap” knob is the amount of delay time. As you turn the knob up, you will get longer delay times. Keep in mind, this pedal is designed for shorter vintage slap-back delay times.
The “Mix” knob is the effect level. Full counter clockwise is all dry and full clockwise is full wet/effect. The “Repeat” knob controls how many echoes or repeats you get. The minimum is one and maximum is around 4.5 repeats. "Repeat" knob lets you fine tune how many delays you will get.
Lastly is the “EQ” knob. This control only affects the repeat delay signal so that you can perfectly adjust the brightness or darkness of your echo. When fully counter clockwise the repeats are at their darkest much like an old BBD analog delay. When fully clockwise the repeats are the brightest they will be with more grit, this is much like a classic tape delay machine.
The footswitching is a two-in-one arrangement, in which either effect can be used separately or together. The foot switch on the left, the switch will turn the delay on/off and the footswitch on the right will turn the boost on/off.
The Milkman uses standard 9v DC negative power only.

First Off, I am a huge fan of JHS pedals. i bought this after hearing a demo and i am not disappointed. If you are looking for a great pedal to keep on all the time then this is it. The boost is clear and just hits the front end of my 65 Deluxe with perfect tone grit. The echo is useful on any setting. This is the best slapback rockabilly effect i have had. It replaced a Carl Martin Red Repeat that i have had for 10 years. If you are looking for space echo sounds this is not for you. Its a one trick pony that i love. Set it and forget it.
Well worth the money .

The milkman does exactly what I was hoping for. It also gives me more of an effect than I expected. The boost is transparent but enhances the tone at the same time. The EQ was a great feature. I love how the slap reacts when I turn the knob like an analog vintage memory man. The pedal sounds warm and rich like I am playing through analog or tape.
If U love the twang of country music all in 1 pedal this it!

it was smaller than I thought but made in Kansas City USA and it sounds great. I watched the JHS videos online and was sold on the sound.

A slap back and a boost? Meh. Nope. The boost is phenomenal, reminiscent of xotic's EP. The slap back, especially with boosted signal, is snappy. Super happy with this one!
