Jackson

collapse expand iconDescription

The Jackson KV2 King V USA Electric Guitar is a lavishly appointed version of the King V. With a Floyd Rose Original double-locking tremolo, alder body ( flamed maple top on transparent finishes), quartersawn maple neck with thru-body design, compound-radius ebony fingerboard with real mother-of-pearl sharkfin inlays, Seymour Duncan SH-4 neck pickup, and a Seymour Duncan TB-4 bridge pickup. Includes hardshell case.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

I have a lefty USA KV2 and it's been my main guitar for years, but the medium fret wire seems like such a blunder. It's not a deal breaker, but if only it had jumbo frets. It's a shame really.

I've playing on Jacksons for over 15 years now and they are absolutely the best guitar you can buy for the money. USA Jacksons are a step up into "pro-quality" level instruments and considering the company in that arena -they are priced cheap. I have 4 USA Jacksons: RR1, KV2, Kelly, & Warrior. Each of them hold their own against top line models of BC Rich, Dean & Gibson. -By the way, I own USA models by all of those makes too -Jackson does it just as good or better. For argument sake I consider my Jackson guitars to be neck and neck with my Dean USA V & ML. But those guitars are $3500 each.

I own a 1988 Charvel Model 6 Neck Thru Guitar. I have a small hand and this guitar is great in that it has a thin neck, great sound and action. I've been searching for the last year for a back up guitar and finally found it......the Jackson KV2 King V. After playing it, it may become my main guitar!! Right when I took it out of the case I could tell this was the bomb!! It had a great feel to the neck and had perfect balance and weight. This guitar is definitely the King!!

I've been playing KV2 models for the last 13 years, and asides from one tone potentiometer going bad, they have been an absolute dream. The older models seem to have a slimmer neck than the post-Fender buyout models, but the action is mainley the same. Like any V (King or Rhoads)you'll need to watch the peaks of the body. They chip very easily..but are great for stabbing bass players. Overall this guitar is amazing ..and you will not be disappointed.

This is a truly amazing axe to add to your arsenal. It has great action, tone, and sustain. The Seymour Duncans in it are awesome, but swap them out for the EMG KK set and this guitar really comes to life.
