Different angle than my 40 year old holder. I guess I'll get used to it.

If you play guitar and harmonica a harp rack is usually the bane of your existence. This one is a bit better than most, sturdy with two knobs to lock it down. It's wide enough to get over your head easily and heavy enough to stay in place better than some of the lighter ones. I am able to change out hermonicas with one hand, but I'm still mixed about the rubber coating that surrounds the bracket holding the harp in. And it has the same problems that every harp rack has in terms of how close to your mouth it can get so you can play it and then it's in the way when you sing. We all make small adjustments to these racks but it's far from perfect.

The K&M harmonica holder I ordered is very much below my expectations. It does not lock firmly the way I would like/need, it does not allow a proper angle for blowing/sucking in/out of the harmonica and it tends to move around. It makes playing harmonica an extremely difficult task because the harmonica is never close enough, at the proper angle or firm enough. I never knew that this product would be such a disappointment.

  • Great harp holder

I've been playing with a harp holder for over 40 years and have worn out many of the Hohner models and others. I like this one because the harps don't slip around, due to the rubber grips that are on the harp clamp and the angle adjustment screws don't slip, which holds everything firmly in place. I've been using a K&M for about 5 years now and never a problem.

Rack playing is my thing and this rack will not hold its position. The knobs won't tighten. Don't buy this. It's junk.
