    As the other comment stated it is very easy to adjust the length with ease. This stand is built with high quality materials. My SM58's microphone clip screwed on perfectly into the stands female threads.

    Adjusting the mic is a now a whole new experience. So easy, so fast, so precise--all on the fly while performing! So smooth and effortless. And, it stays where you put it. Well worth the money when compared to the nonsense you go through with adjustment knobs. Paint and finish is second to none. And, let's not forget that it was designed from the git-go to be stackable. For me, this is one case where paying the extra money is not even a consideration, but more of an investment in my craft. When the time comes I will be buying a matching pair.
