Description
Korg's Kross 2 88-key synthesizer workstation is the only instrument a musician needs. Packed with over 1,000 top-tier sounds and a full suite of production tools, the Kross 2 delivers an unparalleled creative experience for composing, performing and everything in between. At the heart of this powerhouse workstation is the EDS-i sound engine, distilled from Korg's most advanced pro-level synths and loaded with 134 high-definition effects. The 88-key keybed features Korg's acclaimed NH (Natural Weighted Hammer Action) mechanism, giving piano and electric piano sounds a realistic, responsive feel.
Over 1,000 Sounds Cover All Musical Genres
The Kross 2 is armed with a massive collection of lavishly-sampled sounds taken from Korg's flagship workstations, providing a sonic spectrum far beyond its class. Grand piano decays are sampled at three velocity levels, capturing damper pedal resonances and other nuances for ultimate realism. From essential keyboards and drums to cutting-edge electronica, no genre is left out. Finding the right sound is effortless thanks to the intuitive sound selector and favorites function.
EDS-i Sound Engine Powers 134 Pro-Grade Effects
At the core of the Kross 2 is Korg's EDS-i sound engine, providing a studio-grade foundation for your music. EDS-i lets you use up to seven effects at once, including essentials like delay, reverb and chorus as well as amp modeling and a robot vocoder effect. Korg's REMS modeling technology ensures amp simulations sound rich, natural and dynamically responsive. With 134 high-quality effects on tap, you have all the tools to craft your signature sound.
Full Production Suite for Composing and Performing
The Kross 2 doesn't just play sounds--it's designed to help you create music. A 16-track MIDI sequencer, drum track, arpeggiator and step sequencer derived from Korg's Electribe grooveboxes provide an intuitive, hands-on environment for songwriting and beatmaking. Mic and line inputs, an audio recorder and sampling capabilities turn the Kross 2 into a live performance powerhouse. Load your own samples or capture audio on the fly--the possibilities for improvisation are endless.
Premium Keyboard Feel for Expressive Playing
The Kross 2 88-key model features Korg's lauded NH keybed, which recreates the weighted hammer action of an acoustic piano. Heavier in the lower register and lighter in the upper, the NH action allows for sensitive, nuanced playing across the full range of the keyboard. Piano and electric piano sounds truly come alive under your fingertips, while the keybed's portable design means you can bring the same premium feel to every performance.

Beautiful sounds! Great for live quality music performance. Easily captures song ideas and user settings for studio use. Keyboard action is realistic and responsive to dynamics. Wish there were a dedicated button for key transpose changes during live performance instead of being menu deep in global settings which stops the sound. Overall very happy with the synth!
GET IT!, BUT NOT FROM GUITAR CENTER.

Even though the Korg Kross 2 88 is an amazing workstation, and in my case (Musician going back on the road while working for corporate). I have to say. BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. I just bought this Korg Kross 2 88 that they have on sale some days. I was so excited, and instead of a sale item that they claim to be new. I GOT an USED, SCRATCHED, BLEMISHED, DEMO/FLOOR UNIT. It came in a pretty rough recycled box from a Yamaha MOXF88, with just bubble wrap and a power brick. No manual, no documentation, no nothing. I know, it was on sale, BUT THEN, DON'T SAY IT'S NEW!! Because as a customer I expect and demand a NEW CONDITION instrument. If you say, OPEN BOX, FLOOR MODEL, USED, Ok, but you guys are saying NEW!. Then, I call customer service, I explained what just happen, and their answer is basically. "Sorry buddy, nothing we can do. Return it if you want but you won't get a replacement." Recommendation? BUY a Korg Kross 2 88, it's amazing. BUT NOT FROM GUITAR CENTER.
