collapse expand iconDescription

Brought to you by Korg, the SV-2 Vintage 88-Key Stage Piano delivers the retro tone and touch that defined the golden era of rock and roll. This professional stage piano is equipped with Korg's cutting edge modeling technology to provide 72 iconic piano, electric piano, clav and other vintage keyboard sounds from the '60s, '70s and '80s. Its RH3 graded-hammer action keyboard has a vintage touch and feel, enabling nuanced expression and sensitivity. With a sleek yet rugged design, the SV-2 is ideal for any gig or studio.

Authentic Vintage Sounds for Inspired Performances

The SV-2's impressive sonic range includes coveted electric pianos like the Rhodes and Wurlitzer, as well as Hammond organ and synth sounds. Its accurate modeling and sampling technology meticulously recreates every tonal detail and imperfection of the original instruments for an authentic vintage vibe. Onboard effects like tremolo, reverb and amp simulation further enhance the retro sound. The SV-2 also includes concert grand, studio grand and other acoustic piano sounds for versatility.

An Iconic Keyboard Feel for Expressive Playing

The SV-2 features Korg's RH3 keyboard, which accurately simulates the weighted hammer action and springy tactile feel of a classic piano keyboard. Its graded hammer design provides a lighter touch in the higher registers and heavier touch in the lower registers, enabling pianistic expression. The vintage-style chassis also looks and feels like the keyboards of yesteryear for an old-school cool stage presence.

Rugged and Road-Ready

Although the SV-2 evokes a vintage esthetic, it is built to meet the demands of today's working musicians. Its sturdy metal enclosure can withstand the wear and tear of frequent transport and performance. The 88 keys are also securely mounted to prevent rattling during movement or vigorous playing. Multiple audio connections including XLR, 1/4" phone and RCA jacks provide interfacing flexibility for any live or studio setting.

Additional Features for Enhanced Playability

The SV-2 offers further features for intuitive control and customization including an easy-to-read OLED display, pitch bend and modulation wheels and an array of knobs and buttons. Save your favorite sounds and settings to the 64 program memories for quick recall during performances and practice sessions. With its authentic vintage vibe, pro-level features and rugged build, the Korg SV-2 Vintage 88-Key Stage Piano is a must-have for any keyboardist's gear arsenal.

I've had this keyboard for about a year now. The keybed is great, sounds are perfect, and the amp sims are handy for the Wurlitzer and Rhodes tones. The build is rock solid. It's an elegant design & feels like a future classic. I've never owned an SV1 so I can not compare to the older models, but from what I've heard, this one has a better piano library. One odd quirk is the encoders are very precise, so if you're adjusting a parameter, you really have to roll the knobs around&around to make deep adjustments. This is not a problem, and I appreciate fine adjustability, but it can be annoying making changes on the fly. I'd also recommend the Korg matching stand plus the old SV1 soft case. The matching stand screws into the bottom of the keyboard and is highly stable and looks great…AND the collapsed stand fits in the Korg case. Nice design! It's heavy but the wheels work fairly well.

  • The keys break easily and Korg is not helpful

I was so excited about the Korg SV-2, but it's been a bit of a disappointment. There are a few things I'm not that happy about, but the big thing is that two of the keys broke early on. I bought some replacement keys and asked Korg for a repair manual, but they actually wouldn't give it to me. They said I had to take it to a Korg certified repair shop. I actually went into debt a little just to buy the keyboard, now it needs a repair that I can do and I'd rather just do it myself instead of paying hundreds more for their repair shop. I think they should #1 make a robust keyboard that professional musicians can put through hard use gigging for YEARS before worrying about, but short of that they could at least make it easy for me to clean up their mess. I'm thinking I should have gone with the Nord Electro 6D..

Feel is fantastic. The keys, if you dig piano weighted keys, are great. Factory sounds are top notch, ability to tweak is even better. Solid machine from Korg.
