Fun inexpensive uke. Very nicely built, made in Indonesia. Plays well, you can download their app and start learning very quick. Cant go wrong with thus one. I have been playing guitar for a while and wanted to play around with a uke, love it.

Great bang for the buck. Bought for my daughter, who didn't have a Soprano. Great materials (mahogany, rosewood), very good sound and fit and finish. Can't believe these are available for this price.

  • So happy about this ukulele!

I have a Martin D41, a Taylor 12 string, a Gibson Mastertone banjo and a Gibson Flatiron mandolin, so I have some understanding of quality instruments. I have to say I'm completely happy with the Makala Soprano Ukulele! For this price, it's basically an unbelievable deal. Though this is my first uke, the sound tone is very acceptable and enjoyable, not at all toy-like as I feared. It looks good, feels good to hold, and is a great size for travel or just having nearby, for a quick string fix. :-)

  • Excellent for practice.Great sound. Aesthetically pleasing.

I started learning to play a couple weeks ago and decided I needed one of my own. I didn't want to spend too much money, and his seemed like a suitable match. I would recommend this instrument to any beginner.

  • Would totally buy again
