This ukulele is great for beginners and advanced players alike. I am a guitar player, and found the transition to the ukulele very easy using this instrument. The sound is great and I don't know if the other person that reviewed this just simply got unlucky, but the one that I have has nice low action, and the tuners tend to keep it in tune for a while. I would recommend this one for sure.

The tuners were such poor quality that I could not tune the intsrument at all. They were visibly cheap and very roughly made. They turned only with extreme effort and with a grinding feel and only sometimes tightened the string. The action was very high at the body, over 1/4 inch, leading me to believe that the neck was warped. I couldn't tell the tone, because I could never play it in tune. The finish on the instrument, however, was beautiful. A shame.
