Kyser

collapse expand iconDescription

The Kyser Capo for banjo or mandolin is a smaller version of the standard Kyser Quick-Change Capo. This Kyser capo beats anything on the market for clamping a banjo or a mandolin's paired strings. Designed for quick and accurate setting for live performance.

Does what I want!

I also have a Shubb capo for my mandolin, which does a great job. But I found out the hard way that it was slow to change fret positions while playing in the church services. I looked at several different squeeze styles and decided on this Kyser. It clamps well on the frets/strings and doesn't move around. Just as importantly I can rapidly change fret positions between songs when we're trying to keep the "down time" between songs to a minimum. I'll use this and keep the Shubb for a home practice and back-up!

Nice and easy to carry in the case, or in a shirt pocket

I'm an experienced guitarist, and just beginning on banjo, so a capo just for it that could fit easily in the case pocket is essential. This one is perfect for jams and play-alongs.

I use this capo on the banjo, it works fine, I've used the same capo for many years and now have another banjo it's easier to have a capo in every case rather than trying to move them case to case each time I switch up banjos. I originally tried different capos with my first banjo until I got this one.

  • I would purchase it again, if I needed it.

I use it for my baritone ukulele and couldn't be happier! Very sturdy all metal construction. It's design makes this capo very easy to adjust quickly but *still* has a firm/strong grip so it performs perfectly.
