    This stand has collapsed on stage multiple times. The "memory clamp" consists of a screw to lock the adjustable rod in place along with a peg tightened by a drum key to further tighten the grip. I don't play my congas harder than anyone else out there and I've consistently had issues with the stand slowly sinking to the ground during performances. The screw stripped on me during setup at a gig this past week. I've had the stand less than 9 months. Complete trash.
