The lowest position is too high

Who designs these things? Even the absolute lowest setting results in the congas being too high unless you happen to be 6 feet tall. I have tried an assortment of congas in these stands, and none of them are slim enough to slide down enough between the pads so that they would be firmly in position. Forget about putting a large tumba in there it will barely squeeze an inch of the conga into the stand. Result: congas are too high, and unsteady to boot. It's a shame - I really thought when purchasing an LP product that it would be well designed, especially for this price.
Lightweight but they walk

Finally, a nice lightweight conga stand! Easy to setup/bkdown. However, if playing on a hard floor with a bit of vigorous quinto playing, the thing starts moving. My solution is to "lock" the two drums together by dropping a few bolts through the old style LP stand mounts on the drums (the kind with the two holes). That holds the drums together and no more walking.
Really love this stand!

Best conga stand I've ever used and honestly, the only one that doesn't slide around all over the place or buckle and fall in the middle of a show or rehearsal. Don't waste money on any other stand and invest in the Futurelite. LP got it right!
Nice Basket Stand

Really was a toss up between the Meinl Professional and the LP Futurelite II. Both nice stands, the LP is way lighter, can assume a sitting position and overall smaller / cleaner footprint. Only negatives I have.... No spare rubber feet for when you want to use in a sitting position, and the feet on the extension legs are glued on, so no using them. Plus, the stand requires the use of an included wrench for assembly and when setting up and tearing down.
