The LP1209 G¼iro Jam Block is a recent addition to LP's Jam Block tribe, the lowest-pitched instrument introduced so far. In a stroke of innovation LP has added ridges to the top side of the jam block, allowing it to be scraped for convincing g¼iro effects. Includes mounting bracket and eye-bolt.

    I always wanted a guiro but did not know how to mount a conventional one to my drumset until I saw this at Guitar Center. It worked out perfectly mounted just above my floor tom.

    This is the deepest sounding jam block and sounds the best too with the added option of the guiro. You can do some cool effects using this item. Get the LP mini everything rack and you can add more items for effects too. Great jam block!

    Most People just look at this percussion piece and say "Where in the world would I ever use that?" The answer is, you can use it in about any musical style from R&b to Rock. It is really versatile to the many ways you can use it; for a side accent to get a lower end, wood-block tone then just flip it over for a great Guiro sound that fills the gap with a new twist the original guiro sound.
