It's Exactly What I Was Looking For.

I was looking for that extra something to use in a couple of tracks for my band's demo CD (we're indie rock/experimental). One day I was browsing the internet for different kinds of exotic instruments and decided the cabasa would be a nice addition to our percussion section. Not knowing a whole lot about this instrument, I didn't want to invest a lot of money in one, so I picked the LP LP234, which was the cheapest I could find. Fortunately for me, it's all that I needed. It went above and beyond what I expected from it. For those of you reading this that don't know how to play a cabasa, you hold it in your hand and turn it at various speeds and rhythms to produce sound. This is caused by the beads grinding against the sheet. As far as I'm concerned, this cabasa works just fine for it's purpose and I don't feel buying a more expensive one is necessary. It's still going to make essentially the same sound either way. I would personally recommend this to anyone looking for a neat little percussion instrument at an affordable price, and if I had the chance to buy it all over again I would.
