I hate this stand. It seems solid at first, but the longer you own it, and the more you use it, the more stretched-out and flexible the fabric clamping band becomes. Combine that with the fact that the metal part of the clamp only supports a small section of the middle block, and your bongos just wobble side to side while you play. It might be fine for the casual/occasional player, or somebody who uses the bongos only for light music or occasional fills. The less you beat on them, the less stretching and wobbling happens. But if you rock out on those bongos, if you play loud and strong with any regularity, fuggetaboutit. I gave it three stars because for that lighter-usage player, it's really fine, no problems. That isn't me though.

To be real, this thing does the job. It holds the bongos without damaging them, is easy to adjust, and otherwise is a convenient piece of equipment. I strongly dislike using this stand an playing with my hands, though. I can never quite get it to do the right angle for me. Playing with sticks, however, is a total breeze, and even a pleasure.
