Anthem Tru Mic Example

Description
L.R. Baggs has created a breakthrough in acoustic amplification with the Anthem Tru-Mic system. This innovative technology seamlessly combines a studio-quality condenser microphone with their renowned Element pickup to deliver the warmth and nuance of a miked acoustic guitar anywhere you perform. The featherweight Tru-Mic mounts to the underside of the bridge plate, hovering just 3 mm above the surface to capture the soundboard's vibrations. Paired with noise cancelation, it provides the detail and dynamics of an external mic with exceptional feedback resistance.
Tru-Mic Technology Unlocks Your Guitar's Potential
At the heart of the Anthem system is L.R. Baggs' groundbreaking Tru-Mic technology. This proprietary condenser mic eliminates the honky, boxy tone that plagues most internal mics, revealing the natural voice of your guitar. Its innovative mounting system and noise cancelation give it the sensitivity of an external mic with the gain before feedback of an undersaddle pickup. The Tru-Mic captures the nuances that shape your guitar's unique personality, from the warmth of the wood to the resonance of the soundhole.
Seamless Blend of Mic and Pickup
The Anthem system pairs the Tru-Mic with L.R. Baggs' renowned Element undersaddle pickup. Together, they provide a seamless blend of mic and pickup, with the Tru-Mic delivering the midrange warmth and detail, augmented by the pickup for low end punch and power. The mix control allows you to dial in the perfect balance for any playing situation.
Convenient, Lightweight Controls
The Anthem system's featherweight control unit provides fingertip access to volume, mix and phase controls, nestling unobtrusively inside the soundhole. A multi-segment LED battery meter allows you to optimize battery life. Under the hood is L.R. Baggs' signature all-discrete preamp, providing the clean, transparent tone that has made their pickups an industry standard.
Unparalleled Freedom to Play Your Way
With its lightweight components and ability to capture the nuances of your playing style, the Anthem system provides unparalleled freedom. Now your guitar can sound exactly the way you want, whether you're shredding solos on stage, fingerpicking in the studio or composing at home. The Anthem system makes your acoustic guitar sing in a way that leaves other pickups in the dust.

Genuine Acoustic Sound
As a player, the acoustic guitar is my main instrument. I've been playing long enough that my guitars run in the thousands of dollars rather than hundreds. I just put the Anthem in my Santa Cruz OM/PW this week. I am truly knock out! I've had numerous Fishman, B Band and the K&K systems but the Anthem I believe is considerably superior. When you own a expensive guitar that sounds incredible you don't want put a system in it that mangles the beauty of it's sound. I've have spent lots of time and money in the search for pure acoustic tone. I have never been happier with the sound of my guitar than I am with this set up. When I picked up my guitar from my luthier who works in a high end acoustic shop he was impressed after he installed the Anthem in my guitar. Being a newer product he had not heard it yet. He was so impressed he was going to tell to the guys who run the retail side of the shop to place a order with L R Baggs and have some of these systems in stock. For those who may shy away from a mic set up because of feedback, I've already done several gigs playing pretty loud at times and never once had any feedback issues. The Anthem is a smart purchase for those who are seeking to amplify yet preserve the pure acoustic sound of your guitar.

Worked OK but not ideal in my (Bass heavy) Martin
Had this pro fitted. Worked fine but the tone is very warm and full of low end. Being fitted to a Martin (00-28) with a warm low end rich sound was not a great idea. My mistake, but be warned. The combination resulted in way too much low end giving me headaches with low frequency feedback. In the end I had it removed and fitted a Fishman Matrix Infinity. Much better balanced sound. I guess there is a reason why Martins with Factory fitted pickups use Fishman.

I love this pickup! I had it installed to my beautiful Martin D28 which I also purchased from Guitar Center and it's fantastic, the sound is so crisp. The guitar tech at my local Guitar Center installed the pickup and did a first class job.

I own several Taylor and Martin Guitars, but this is my favorite to play. However it is only acoustic, so I purchased this from GC and had them install it for a concert I did in Minneapolis. It was great! I would highly recommend the techs from GC.

I bought the Anthem Tru-Mic with Piezo system to replace the factory installed Fishman Aura system that had failed. Guitar is a Fender Buddy Miller acoustic. The Anthem sounds fantastic in the guitar, adds a bit of additional bass the unplugged Fender lacks, and overall the tone is warm and inviting. I installed the system myself and found it pretty easy to do. A few tools and laying out the parts helped assembly. The Guitar Center salesperson (phone from California) was helpful too. Overall a great experience.

I love having volume, blend, phase and battery check right there at the sound hole where the strumming hand lives!!! All of these options make seamless dialing the natural sound I've been looking for.

How well does this system work in a nylon string classical guitar? Are there any customer reviews?
This works really well. It's a blend of Mic and Piezo pickup so you get a nice blend of the two giving you a great tone.
