String gauges: Clear nylon trebles 29-335-41. Silver-plated wound basses 285-35-415.

Extremely flexible, 2001 Medium Tension strings are responsive and sensitive to the slightest left hand vibrato and subtle tonal changes produced by the right hand. They combine a high performance capability with a tremendous ease of playing.

The 2001 Series Classical Guitar Strings are the product of years of intense research and development. During the formulation of the 2001 Series, prototypes were tested worldwide by fine performing artists and teachers. These guitarists expressed a need for classical guitar strings with a greater response, clarity and sustaining power. To meet this demand, La Bella redesigned both the treble and bass strings according to new specifications.

I use this product on my Manuel Rodriguez FC and it is a magical combination. The first string sounds delightful compared to the D'addario strings. The strings resonate in a warm lively way that makes you want to practice all day. The tension is perfect.

  • Don't buy this product!

My guitar is old and inexpensive...1973 Checkmate. A string popped, the third one down. The top three strings are wound metal, the bottom strings look like nylon. Are these strings I'm looking to buy like that?
