I play in a band and also for church. In thirty years of playing four strings, I finally made the jump to five and wanted to get something that I'd want to keep but spend a fortune. This bass doesn't disappoint. It came perfectly set up, action is smooth. I can see where someone more serious about tone would upgrade the pickups and electronics, but the stock Bartolinis are fine for my purpose. They sound a little spongy I guess would be the description. But I like fat sound and play on the neck pickup. I don't regret this purchase.

I play this bass on Sunday morning at church and it sounds amazing! Clarity with serious low end punch! I also use it for practicing at home. I'm a Lakland customer for life!

I had one similar, 15 years ago, and I forgot how smooth is to play it, even 35" scale, nice what you get for affordable price.

Lakeland did an excellent job with this Skyline 55-01 bass . It is an economic priced bass, but can out perform other basses in it's price range and some others priced higher.

This guitar did not disappoint. It's exactly as advertised. The tone is totally awesome. The set up was perfect for my string height. For the price range, you can't go wrong. This is a great midline guitar. I use a Fender American P bass and I must say I will definitely be putting this guitar to work.
