Stomp on stomp off

Stomp on, stomp off, works as advertised. I bought it to run the mute function on my Fishman Loudbox 100. The biggest complaint from the chirping section is a short cord. The cord is only 6 feet long but, that problem is easily resolved by purchasing a Livewire 1/4 female x 1/4 female TS coupler, plug in a guitar cable of what ever length you need into one end and the switch into the other and, walla. Done. EX PZ.

Don't make them like they used to

Got this to start/stop an old drum machine. It broke within a month or so of (almost) daily use. Opening it up, the latching switch had come off of the chassis... was only connected by metal clips it seems. Trying to just put it back in... it snaps in place but pops off again whenever the switch is hit. For something meant to be stomped upon (and mind you I'm playing a piano, so it's not like I'm standing up and stomping) mine was pretty flimsy. I'd recommend paying more for a more solid piece of gear.

Easy to use, very light. If all you're looking for is a cheap, portable footswitch, it'll do the job.

  • I would buy this product again.

I use this product for gigs. It allows me to shut off effects after a song while I speak to the audience. It's a simple on/off switch that does its job.

  • I would recommend this product.

I use this product for gigs. Although general, I love that it has effects such as reverb. Really changes the vocal sound for the better.

  • Great footswitch.

I am using this with my Boss JHS Angry driver JB2. This footswitch is doing what it is supposed to do and doing it well. I have a couple of these footswitches and that is why I bought another one. They haven't failed me yet.

Will this work to turn on/off chorus or reverb or distortion on a Roland JC-55, JC-77 or JC-120 amp from the 80's?

Yes, the Livewire LWS21 Universal Latching Footswitch should work to turn effects on/off (such as chorus, reverb, or distortion) on vintage Roland JC-55, JC-77, or JC-120 amps from the 1980s — as long as the amp uses latching (not momentary) footswitch control and has a standard 1/4" footswitch jack for each effect. Here’s the breakdown: Roland JC-120, JC-77, JC-55 (1980s models) generally have 1/4" footswitch jacks labeled for chorus, reverb, and sometimes distortion. These jacks typically expect a latching (on/off toggle) footswitch, which the Livewire LWS21 provides. The LWS21 has a latching mechanism, meaning it toggles between on and off states — exactly what these amps need. It connects via a 1/4" TS plug, which is standard for these footswitch inputs. One LWS21 controls one function. So, to switch both chorus and reverb, you’d need two LWS21s (or a dual footswitch with separate plugs).

No. The LWS21 is a latching switch - it has only the ability to switch on and off.
