    A more open ended, and impactful snare than the 5" and 6.5". If you were to get one Black Beauty, go with a 6.5", but if you are looking for some variation, particularly with a low tuning, try the 10".

    This snare can be used with so many different tuning arrangements and sound so good, it's crazy! The price tag is up there, but you pay for quality and Ludwig made a winner right here.

    I record and perform with my drums and am always looking for the best sound both live and in the studio. I love how responsive and colorful this snare is. Some snares sound like metal in a really unpleasant, jarring way. This snare is warm yet offers a lot of bright metallic depth that I could not get from my other snares.
