How do u put this strap on a bass drum?
Steps to attach the Cadet sling: Locate the Sling Hook or Clip: The Cadet sling typically has a metal hook or snap clip at the end. This part attaches to the bass drum’s carrying ring, eye bolt, or T-rod (depending on the drum hardware). Find the Sling Mount on the Drum: Marching bass drums often have a metal loop, eye bolt, or post on the shell or hoop specifically for sling attachment. This is usually on the top center or side edge of the drum, closest to where it rests on your body. Attach the Sling: Clip or hook the sling onto the mounting point. If your drum doesn't have a dedicated hook, you might need to add a T-rod sling adapter or use one of the tension rods (temporarily or with a clamp adapter). Put on the Sling: Slip the padded strap over your shoulder (usually right shoulder, drum hangs on the left side). Adjust the length so the drum sits comfortably in front of your body, roughly waist height. Position the Drum: The bass drum should hang flat or slightly angled, depending on your playing preference. Make sure it’s secure and not swinging too much as you move.
