M-Audio’s Hammer 88 is an affordable, fully-weighted, hammer-action keyboard for professional and semi-pro players or students looking for a realistic grand piano feel to use with virtual instruments or sound modules. It features fully-assignable MIDI buttons, pitch-bend and modulation wheels, sustain pedal, secondary pedal and expression pedal inputs—while providing a clean aesthetic for players more concerned with compositional accuracy than editing and tweaking.

Hammer 88 is USB-powered, class-compliant, and supports USB-MIDI connectivity. Plus, Hammer 88 supports iOS connectivity with the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit (sold separately), enabling you to perform and compose with audio apps on your iPad and other iOS devices.

    I bought this before I knew anything about hardware synths, found it to be a great keyboard for DAW use, but it shines with modular synths. Slap a grand piano keybed on any piece of gear with MIDI in, but buy a GOOD stand for this, my generic double X stand is warping after 5 years.

    Super awesome keyboard. It reminds me to a Yamaha S90 XS piano. I use it for church and I am a professional musician for 10 years and really recommend this. I use MainStage and a plug-in called Sunday keys. It sounds like I'm playing a album from Elevation Worship or Hillsong. Recommend a lot to people who want that professional but also affordable.

    I had plans to use this product along with the software provided by M-Audio as "free" however the none of the software is updated to 64bit and unusable on MacOS Catalina 10.15. If the software that comes with it is a selling point and you have a mac, I would look elsewhere.

    This served exactly the purpose I bought it for and I have been very pleased. The action feels very piano-like. It is heavy, but to me it gives it a closer resemblance to a real piano. The mod wheels have a good feel to them and work well. The transposition and volume controls also have a good feel and work as expected. I really do not have anything negative to say about this, but I would not expect this to be for you if you need something to carry to gigs and such.

    Great included plug-ins, and I was blown away by the EightyEight plug-in. Keys feel great, looks great, although I had an issue regarding the sustain pedal for a bit. Nothing major, I just looked it up online and saw that I had to mess with the preset manager for a bit to fix it. Besides that, I have no regrets buying this MIDI keyboard.

    I love this hammerizer! I love the feel of the weighted keys. I plan on wearing this puppy out even though I didn't buy an extended warranty. This unit is heavy as %#**, buy they never said it was portable.

    They are used items that do not come with any accessories Blemishes are slight and do not affect the tone or play ability of the instrument.
