Fine as a controller but NOT semi-weighted. Keys feel like typical synthesizer keys.
Terrible Key Feel. Requires excess force to press.

I don't know what they were thinking when they designed the keys on this. It doesn't feel natural. The keys take too much force to press - makes my hands tired quickly. The keys don't spring back in a natural way. The sharp keys are strangely shorter and wider than standard, and are strangely a different material than the white keys, with less friction. The full keyboard is a little wider than standard, when comparing the old model side-by-side. It's a shame - I've owned the two previous models - been playing them for a full decade, and they're great. Looks like I'll need to stick with used models of those, until M-Audio gets their act back together with the next model.
You get what you pay for. What I paid for is worth it.

I bought this for the 5-pin MIDI connections. It works perfectly with my TC-Helicon VoiceLive2 and my Yamaha psr-S770. The keys are a little sticky because it's new. But, I find in the heat of a song, it has a great piano feel. Try before you buy. But it's a great unit.
i would recommend and purchase this product again.
