First of all, I've been dying to get my hands on meinl cymbals. They've been my dream brand so it's amazing to actually have some now. These cymbals are breathtaking right out of the box, especially the hats. Don't get me started on the sound. Man, these cymbals are blowing my mind every time I play them. The sound is fantastic. There is a darkness to all of them, which I personally love. The hats are exceptionally crisp with a nice wash and simmer when open - - - extreme stick definition. The 18" crash is beautiful. Big sound that is very "true" the whole way through. Some crashes will change tone or have a million overtones that happen when you lay into them, but not this one. It's great. The trash crash is explosive with a fast decay and has a godly sound. The ride is excellent and has one of the best bells I've ever heard. The finish on all these cymbals is truly beautiful. I play professionally with my blues rock band so we will see how these hold up! They look and feel like they are definitely meant to last. I definitely recommend these.
