MEINL Classics Custom Medium Cymbal Set

For the price I had to try these out and they are beautiful. Love the brilliant finish! The hi hats have a great tone and the ride has a nice ping to it although when you hit the bell it rings out a bit and I don't know if it's noticeable on a recording. Crashes are good though I wish they had more attack and volume. From the reviews I see that these have a tendency to crack, so I'm using these as recording and live gigging cymbals only. I put them back in the box after use. Also it comes with the free 18" crash btw. Description doesn't say it and if you ask about it they say it doesn't come with it but I assure you it does. Anyways good set all together. Not the best out there but it's exceptional for its price.

Bought these cymbals after watching a video online about them. They sound great don't get me wrong but after 5 months they started to crack near the key hole on the crashes! Good thing I got the warranty on these and if you do decide to get these I recommend the same. I've played multiple brands of cymbals and this has never occurred after a few months. Meinl really disappointed me cause I was expecting better.

Great cymbals at a great price.

So I am looking to buy a new cymbal set and drumkit for rehearsals . I knew Meinl always had great products and through research found their new line of Custom Classics . These cymbals are machine hammered are pitched to sonically cut through the music yet have great definition and tone . I would compare them to the A's but for a much cheaper price . They feel great and have lots of character for A cymbal of this class and price . Hi-hats are fast and articulate and the ride is fantastic with a nice wash and cutting bell .. You can't go wrong if you are on a budget . I personally would have no problem taking these cymbals out to gig with as I know they would do the job and sound like the upper lines of the bog three .. Hope this helps drummers .

I love these cymbals and they sound INCREDIBLE. The 16' crash and the hats are my absolute favorite. All the cymbals are very bright and penetrating in their sound and tone. I upgrade to these from Sabian B8's and I am so happy with them. Well worth the money. I play hip hop, classic rock, metal and funk.

I used to have the MEINL MCS series cymbals. I finally had the money to upgrade to these amazing sounding cymbals. The soumd difference from B8 alloy to B10 alloy was pretty shocking. When you play on them, they just feel great and sound amazing. They've inspired me to play my drums even more despite the fact I have school and 3 bands. Anyways, the MEINL MCS series are also great, but try to save a little more before thinking of buying those and get these instead. THe free 18' crash is amazing. Free pricy cymbal? Dude... this is a freekin steal!!!!!!!! They are EXCELENT for all styles of metal by the way.
