The Meinl HCS Complete Cymbal Set-Up provides an affordable upgrade from basic starter cymbals. Made in Germany by Meinl, an industry leader crafting cymbals since 1951, the HCS line offers crisp, bright tones suited for drummers of all skill levels. This set includes 14" hi-hats, 16" crash, 20" ride cymbal, providing a balanced selection of cymbals to round out your drum kit's sound.

Quality Materials and Construction

The HCS cymbals are made from MS63 brass alloy, which provides a clean, focused tone without the annoying overtones of cheaper cymbals. Their substantial weight and grooved, hammered surfaces give HCS cymbals a professional look and feel, with crisp articulation and musicality perfect for any genre. While affordable, HCS cymbals are durable and long-lasting, even for aggressive players.

A Step Up in Sound

HCS cymbals offer an impressive upgrade from basic starter cymbals. Their harmonious, balanced tones will make playing the drums even more engaging and fun. HCS cymbals produce sounds more akin to what you hear on professional recordings, helping you develop an ear for quality cymbal tones.

Versatile Selection

This HCS set provides hi-hats for keeping time, a ride for a steady beat, and a crash for accenting different beats. With a seemingly endless variety of HCS cymbal types and sizes available, you can customize your set-up as your skills and needs evolve.

Premium Details

HCS cymbals feature the same iconic Meinl logo treatment found on our professional lines, with a laser-engraved logo and serial number on each cymbal. Their brilliant, shimmering finish makes HCS cymbals as visually appealing as they sound.

Meinl HCS Cymbal Pack

This is one of the most amazing cymbal packs out there! Especially for the price. The Hi-Hats give a nice click, and a good sound when you do a hi-hat swing. The Crash is bright, and gives the impression that something is acutally crashing. And the Ride is just outstanding! The bell sounds amazing just like the rest of the cymbal. I say buy this if your replacing old, worn out, cracked cymbals.

A mixed bag

I picked this set up when I first got my new drum set. I needed a full setup because I've only had an electric kit for the past few years. Starting off: the hi-hats are great. They're a little heavier than I'm used to, but for the price you can't beat them. They sound nice and crisp. But that's where the positives end. The crash sounds washed out and dead. It sounds more like a ride than a crash (exaggerating, but still). And the ride is washed out sounding with little definition. I definitely regret the purchase.

The ride is the highlight of this set. The hi hat is ok but the crash is very clunky sounding. Trying to figure out how to get it to sound better but no luck yet. I should have just bout the ride and hihat pack and pciked up a standalone crash.

I purchased these as a cheap replacement to my worn out Sabian B8s and I am very happy with how they sound and feel. I plan on adding several more of these to my kit in the future.

I bought these to pair with a Ludwig Breakbeats kit and am very happy with them. The hats are GREAT, the ride is pretty good and the crash is decent. I've had the Sabian B8 and Zildjian ZBTs in the past but in my opinion these are better.

  • Just what I was looking for

I was planning to buy the MCS series of cymbals, but after trying this HCS set at my local Guitar Center I decided on these. The sound is the closest I've found to a set of Zildjians I had back in the 1970s and I couldn't be happier!
