MEINL HCS-FX Splash and China Cymbal Effect Stack With Free Stacker 10 in. Splash and 12 in. China

Description
HCS cymbals from MEINL are crafted in Germany with a durable brass alloy that holds up to the force of sticks while maintaining excellent musical pitches and tones. This effect stack delivers all of the comfort players look for when piggybacking cymbals. The free stacker puts 5.5” of clearance between the two cymbals, allowing you to move your sticks freely without catching one cymbal or the other by mistake. Simply thread the attachment on your existing cymbal stand until finger tight, and it holds securely, even for the harder hitters. The end result is a ferocious, professional look with a variety of sonic alternatives.
HCS Series
The HCS series from MEINL is designed to offer all of the cymbal types and sizes normally found in professional lines to beginners in order to deliver the same sound options a professional drummer may look for. These are not those distractingly cheap, flimsy prop cymbals that come with most drum sets; MEINL HCS cymbals have impressive sound and sturdy feel geared toward beginner/intermediate players. Playing HCS cymbals will sound more like what you hear in actual songs, making the drums even more fun to play. Plus, they aren't going to fall apart, dent or bend after a few uses like stock cymbals.

Great little effects cymbals. Not for professional or performance use, but excellent in a studio setting to get some unique sounds. Not recommended for a beginning drummers either. Better to invest money in a really good ride, hi-hats, and crash for practice and performance. These are just nice for specific studio applications where the final sound in the recordings can be manipulated a little. But everyone has a different preferences for the sounds they like. For me, these are fine.
the metal is too thin. The sound great as a stack
