HCS-SCS "Super Set" Matched Cymbal Box Set Pack

Meinl HCS Super Cymbal Pack

Description
This HCS-SCS Super Cymbal Set is an all-inclusive set of standard cymbal types and sizes that will complete a drum kit setup. Included in the HCS Super Set are a 14" hi-hat pair, 20" ride, 16" crash, 18" crash, 16" China and a 10” splash. The hi-hats have a crisp "chick" with a nice slosh when played open while the ride cymbal delivers a well-defined "ping" and a cutting bell without distracting overtones. HCS crashes respond with a warm attack followed by a medium sustain. The China is ideal for adding cutting accents with a sharp, sinister sound. HCS cymbals are crafted in Germany with a durable brass alloy that has a responsive touch with an unmatched sound quality in this range. Geared toward beginners, MEINL HCS cymbals stand up to the brunt of sticks while maintaining their musical tone.
HCS Cymbals
Just because they are built for beginners, these are not those distractingly cheap, flimsy prop cymbals that come with most drum sets. MEINL HCS cymbals have impressive sound and sturdy feel geared toward beginner/intermediate players. Playing HCS cymbals will sound more like what you hear in actual songs, making the drums even more fun to play; plus, they aren't going to fall apart, dent or bend after a few uses like stock cymbals. The surface of these HCS cymbals shimmer and shine under light, which is a bonus if you like your kit to look beautiful. HCS cymbals also feature the same logo treatment as MEINL's professional lines, including a small laser-engraved logo and serial number. These are German-made, top-quality entry-level cymbals that resemble more high-end models with their crisp, bright tone and musical feel. They have a long lifespan, even for hard hitters, and fit any musical style

Not a bad sound, more stiff than usual, but good sound to mix with other more resonate cymbals.

I have purchased these cymbals, and they are really fun to mess around with. I think that now, after a little while, it's time for a little upgrade. Honestly, the cymbals aren't bad, you're just getting what you pay for. Personally, I'd recommend a cost-efficient set of Sabian or Zildjian cymbals. These cymbals ARE great, if you want to just casually play. They are also good for you if you are a beginner who wants to play with a lot of cymbals.
Great cymbals!

So many people whine or give negative words or give less than 5 stars...if the product was exactly as I thought it would be why would I not give it a good rating and feedback (which it was).....so after 50 years of being a drummer and selling both of my kits and top of the line Zildgians two years ago I as asked to play again....the rest is history...This cymbal pack is very tonal, has nice warmth, good delay....these Meinl cymbals are a little thick for my liking but that is not a bad thing...they remind me of Sabians...so they will go nicely wth some future cymbals that I purchase....at best they will never crack or sound thin and trashy...so if you are a hard hitter, it will make for a better sound and they resonate well....good luck!!

You get what you pay for. They are not Zildjians, but you're not paying for Zildjians. For the price it is a good value. I recommend this for players ranging from newbies to professionals. They are good for practicing, but I would not record an album with them. To sum up, if you have the money for Zildjians don't try to be cheap. Pay the extra money for higher quality cymbals. HOWEVER, if you are just looking for some good practice cymbals, this is a perfect cymbal pack. Everything you need... FOR PRACTICING.
