MEINL Percussion SCP100WN Snarecraft Professional Cajon - Walnut

MEINL

collapse expand iconDescription

MEINL Snarecraft Professional cajons combine articulate rhythmic punctuation with a warm tonal quality to give players a focused sound and wide dynamic range. Made of Baltic birch wood, these cajons respond with a punchy low end thud and crisp slap tones. The highly expressive snare sounds come from adjustable snares that can be dialed-in with the knob located on the side of the cajon. Turning the knob changes the amount of pressure the snares have, altering their sensitivity. They may also be turned completely off. Rounded corners on the playing surface offer total comfort while maximizing your touch.

I bought this cajon 2 years ago and have loved it. No problem with snare throw off knob. Works great, never swiches positions on it's own. great sounds and beautiful wood and craftsmanship. It's my second Meinl cajon. Great quality all the way around.

I was shocked at the level of quality, or lack thereof in this product. The sound is great; boomy bass tones and crisp slaps, but the snare mechanism constantly disengaged after a minute or two of playing. Also, the front plate developed a horizontal crack after only playing a single gig! I'll be returning this to the store and considering other brands in my search for a replacement.
