Wanted to buy a regular cajon but did not like bending down sitting on a cajon and also wanted something that can directly connect to an amp … this one fits the bill . Love the usability and sound options . What could have been better ? More bass in terms of sound output .
Great fun and great sound!

I think the sound is fantastic. I was hoping for a slightly boomier bass sound, however the snare sound is amazing. It is a good mix between a cajon and a bongo drum. More than anything I appreciate being able to sit on any chair with it, rather than sit on it. When playing cajon drums, I found that my back would start getting sore, but not with this.
Awesome Cajon- great sound !

First let me say the cajon sounds great! However, I ordered this item in April 2019 and when I got it there was a screw missing from the pickup and a rattle inside. Sent that one back and got a new one. Pickup was loose in this one. I didn't want to try to fix it myself and void the warranty. Took it back to Guitar Center and they don't fix them. I had purchased the replacement policy and so I had to jump through hoops to get the return label and get it the cajon shipped back to them and was issued a gift card to replace the cajon. Just ordered a new one and it isn't expected to ship until 8/20/19. I need my cajon for gigs that are already booked and now I don't have it. Luckily I have the smaller version but it really sucks that this is an issue with what would otherwise be a great item. BTW tried contacting Meinl and they didn't even acknowledge the contact.
No regrets!!!

Since there were none in the stores around me or any online videos, I was worried the bass wouldnt be big enough for me. I got this shipped to me yesterday. First, the playing position is SO MUCH better than a traditional cajon. Your back will thank you. I first played it not hooked to the PA. Sounds great! Maybe not as loud as a traditional cajon? I dont have one here to compare, but I would say its 25% more quiet. But, I plugged this into my PA with the Bass knob on 1/2 and the snare and tone at full throttle. OH MY! It is so crisp and sensitive with 3 distinct tones: 1. A crispy snare sound. 2. A bongo tone 3. A bass hit. Its PLENTY deep enough. As far as feedback goes, its more prone to low end feedback than anything high, but it puts out plenty of volume to hear. Dont sit right by your sub, or if need be, put a notch filter in to cut that frequency.
I will always shop at guitar center
