MEINL's Vertical Subwoofer Cajon is a revolutionary instrument that provides percussionists and drummers alike with the ability to produce a diverse range of sounds. Its internal subwoofer and mahogany frontplate work in tandem to generate deep, resonant bass tones and crisp, articulate highs that cut through any mix. Whether performing onstage, recording in the studio, or jamming at home, this innovative Cajon is designed to deliver professional-grade sound for any musical application.

Front-Facing, Verticle Subwoofer Ports for Thundering Low End

At the heart of this Cajon is a vertical subwoofer port that produces thunderous bass frequencies. The front-facing design along with an internal reflex channel is ideal for live and unplugged situations.

Handcrafted Mahogany Frontplate for Crisp, Articulate Highs

The frontplate is constructed from high-quality mahogany, a dense hardwood prized for its resonance and clarity. The mahogany frontplate responds instantly to taps, slaps, and strokes, resulting in sharp, articulate highs and mids. Its hardness also provides a solid playing surface, allowing drummers to execute intricate rhythms and percussionists to explore a range of hand techniques. The frontplate's all-wood construction gives each strike a warm, organic quality that blends seamlessly with the deep tones from the built-in subwoofer.

Ideal for Stage, Studio, and Practice

With its blend of thunderous low end and crisp highs, the Vertical Subwoofer Cajon produces professional-grade sound for live performance, recording, and at-home practice. Its compact, all-in-one design provides an acoustic bass drum and snare alternative, allowing drummers and percussionists to achieve a full sound with minimal gear. For onstage or studio use, the Cajon's volume can fill an entire room, yet, with a softer playing styles, retains appropriate levels for more intimate settings.

I love the sound it put out. Sounds like a real drum. The snare and bass resinate very well. I play it at church and it sounds amazing. I highly recommend it.

  • Not the subwoofer sound I was expecting.

This Cajon sounds differently compared to Jumbo bass one. And the base beat sounds weird. Not the quality I was hoping for.

  • Fantastic bass response!

I use the Cajon with a trio and it captures all the nuances and subtle tones I'm looking for. It's easy on the hand and fingers. Not much effort is required to establish the sound desired. The projection is nice with becoming too intrusive. It compliments other instruments nicely.

I'm a professional musician and I use this cajon primarily for church services and small venue tours. I love the bass and snare sound both are equally good. The only negative is the front ports are difficult to mic. Its a little uncomfortable to try to sit around the mic placement because it interferes with your playing and technique. Overall its definitely worth purchasing if you're serious about playing the cajon professionally!

What cajon carrying bag would work with this extra large cajon? It seems to be too large for most bags. Thanks!
