I have to give this DVD two 5ۡs, the first 5 because the instructor uses the Zakk Wiled Gibson Les Paul and I have the Epiphone Zakk Wiled Les Paul and yes, Gibson Owns Epiphone and the Epiphone Zakk Wiled copy has gotten all 5 star review on GC. The second 5 is for the material. The instructor starts the video by talking about amp settings and how to get that METAL tone which I thought was good. The DVD is slow at the beginning, but the lessons build on each other, and for the price I thought it was pretty good. Iۡve been playing off and on for a long time and thought I would check this out and Iۡm glad I did. Iۡve been learning some Black Sabbath, Dimebag and other riffs, but I still enjoyed the DVD and recommend this DVD to any beginner.

This DVD was perfect for me. I have a few others that do nothing but show off the talent of the teacher. This DVD is structured to allow anyone to learn to play Metal Guitar. This got me to play and understand Metal. It starts out very, very easy and takes off from there. The lessons build up on each other, so when you follow them 1 by 1, you can't help but get better. By the end, you are playing Metal all over the guitar neck. 5 Stars all the way.

Well I put this video in hoping to learn some theory or new ways to implement techniques but sadly I knew everything and more that was talked about in the video. The only good part was it taught how to put together 3 different riffs and include a solo to make a neat little song. Not something a beginner could play without practicing and it did sound nice so I learned it. Good dvd if you're at the very beginning of your guitar quest.
