    Crank it up! Great for Weak or Thin-Sounding Pickups! I have a lot of cheapo/oddball vintage gear which can have some pretty idiosyncratic wiring (specifically, a 1950s lap steel was what inspired this purchase). I also love 'lipstick tube' pickups on the re-issue Danelectros, but they can frequently use a boost if you want any kind of punch behind that signal. And lastly, I have a 1970s Rhodes which turns into a totally different animal once you crank up that signal. For the dramatically positive impact this little magic booster has had on a handful of different pieces of mine, this little guy is well worth the price of admission.

    I've played a lot of MXR pedals (including ones that aren't even in production anymore) and I can't think of one that I love more than the Booster Mini. This pedal is almost the complete opposite of what you would call a modern tone, it really just grunts at you with massive vintage, stoner and classic rock vibes. Getting rid of this pedal would be like taking a step back and I would recommend it to anyone that's looking to buy a boost pedal.
