MXR M133 Micro Amp Pedal

I was reluctant to buy this pedal because of it's simplicity. It is now on the top of my list of pedals. I was using it at first for parts of songs that need a punch. It works great for that, but now I find myself using it all the time. I have dialed it in with a Blues Driver pedal and a delay with some reverb and it is the sound I have been looking for. This pedal is so simple but so awesome. I highly recommend it.

This little guy is used on tons of pro boards all around the world, and it's no wonder that it has done so well. With just a single knob, you've got yourself an amazing clean boost, to either punch yourself through during a live scenario, or to push your amp into saturation. This pedal has various uses, and is extremely effective at what it does. It works well as an "always on" type of pedal as well, or to be kicked on for certain parts of a song. The MXR build quality is also there, ensuring that it will last years of use and abuse on any pedalboard.

This pedal provides exactly the lead boost I was looking for, Only downside for me is that the power input is on the side instead of the top.

This pedal did exactly what I needed. I use it with my Blackstar HT Stage 60 amp and since I love the amp sounds I did not want a boost pedal that would color the amps sound. The Micro Amp pedal simply boosted the volume of my amp which was exactly my requirement. Love this pedal.

Very close to completely transparent, adds perhaps a touch of thickness in the mids, the highs are too close to call, but really good at "the same thing only louder". For the price it's hard to beat. Cleaner than the xotic EP boost when you run that at 9 volts, the MXR itself sounds great at 9 volts. I play active bass, so my signal is buffered, and I get tons of gain in front of my amp, have not even had to try it in the FX loop.
