Rock Blues Alt style are all achievable. I took my blues driver and an OD pedal off my pedal board with the 108.I use this one the most currently.

Great fuzz if you have a wah pedal and want it before your fuzz. Most fuzz pedals need to first but because of the built in buffer switch on the pedal this fuzz works great after a wah pedal. Also sounds good with single coils or humbuckers.
Crunch

I've been looking for this sound most of my life. I've always just wanted a plain old fuzz box, one that will turn my guitar from whispering sweet nothings, to something the decimates societies. This is that pedal. It isn't a metal pedal, its a pedal for good old fashioned rock and roll. It is much more convenient than the fuzz face, which is essentially the same thing, also, its cheaper, its a win-win. Another huge draw for me was the fact that it is analog, it isn't a digital effect, the electricity traveling through the circuits is what makes the sound. It makes the fuzz have an extremely authentic feel. Basically, if you want to sound like your playing guitar in a rock band anywhere from 1967 - 1972, this is the pedal you want.
Does It's Job

Let me just start off by saying that if you want a well built, and great sounding pedal then MXR is the way to go. When I first started playing guitar 12 years ago, I used Boss pedals but now I can see the error of my ways... And now to the MXR Classic Fuzz Pedal. This is a very effective wah pedal. The thing I love is the fuzz tone. I can only describe the fuzz as sounding more of a "crunch" sounding fuzz which I love. I had a Fender Fuzz/Wah in one pedal before and the fuzz effect on that was very weak and kind of muddy. When you put the MXR Fuzz effect up the whole way, you get a crunch sound. Another positive is the buffer button on this so if you use a wah pedal with this, you don't get alot of excess noise. I can't comment on how well it works at the moment because I'm waiting for my wah pedal as we speak. The only reason it didn't get higher than 3 stars is because it's just a fuzz pedal, with just two knobs. It doesn't do a whole lot. But what it does, it does very well.

wow, this pedal is cool... its great for those jimi hendrix jams, or ripping a fat, bloated riff, totally cool, however, i play through a marshall tube with a ton of gain, at first i thought it was a waste considering i can get a similar fuzz sound with my amp distortion, then i played with it, and listened, the fuzz can fatten it up... its a good pedal to have, but not an absoulute must, your better off buying a wah before this... but when your ready, get this sucker.
FUZZ!

I tried quite a few fuzzes and I couldn't get no satisfaction, but this one has that really 60's harsh kind of fuzz I was looking for. There is some confusion between fuzzes and distortions, and you could use this unit either way. I have distortion pedals and tube amps, too, so I use a fuzz for FUZZ! Not too complicated, with only two knobs. I turn the Fuzz up all the way and use the volume to match my bypass level so I can switch it in and out seamlessly.
