The pedal compresses subtly without compressor squash. The LED's don't work exactly as described. The guitar volume has to be up full and the input-output knobs also turned up to get any reading on the lights. All in all this is probably the best pedal compressor out there.

What is the difference between this model and the regular MXR Bass compressor?
Very little. The bass unit is more voiced to bass frequencies.
