MXR Sub Machine Octave Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal

Description
The Sub Machine Fuzz features the La Machine Fuzz’s circuitry and all of its functions—from its Volume, Tone, and Fuzz controls to its electrifying octave up mode—but it’s also got an old school sub-octave circuit with its own level control, so you can dial in just the right mix of fuzz and sub octave signals.
To further broaden the Sub Machine Fuzz’s thunderous tonal palette, the MXR team added a Series switch so you can run the sub-octave signal straight into the fuzz—for some seriously subterranean saturation—or alongside the fuzz for a split channel effect.

Features
- Combines La Machine Fuzz with old school Sub-Octave signal
- Separate volume levels for Fuzz and Sub-Octave signals
- Toggle between Series/Parallel modes
- Octave switch kicks Fuzz signal into searing Octave Up mode
- True bypass switching

I have tried a few fuzz pedals that I fell into and out of love with fairly quickly, but I"m digging' this one with most any of my guitars. You can use it as a regular fuzz, you can add in tones of bottom and really thicken up your tone, you can dial in the lower octave and ditch your bass player altogether lol, and you can use the switch on the right to bring in the upper octave for that piercing lead tone that would make Jimi Hendrix proud to call you his fuzzy friend! I've experimented a lot with this pedal and it has a wide array of usable tones that I think you'll enjoy! If I could start a band with twin guitars, both using these there would be no need for a bass player! This pedal is HUGE!!!
Intense sleeper

Thunder low end. People will catch on especially metal folks without bass player needing heavy heavy heavy subs. Also this is a good alternative to the Meatbox which is no longer made & prices climbing. More fuzz than Meatbox which won't work with some amps because it's too much subs. SM will work; tracks easier.
Pretty nifty

This thing definitely won't be for everyone but you can get some unreal tones out of it and it's a lot of fun. You'll find it has more uses than you'd expect. Sounds cool with a chorus. Only potential con is it's buffered bypass but it doesn't seem to be detrimental.
Showed up broke.

Seems like a cool pedal if it worked. Need to exchange it.
