MXR M68 Uni-Vibe Chorus/Vibrato Guitar Effects Pedal

Description
The MXR M68 Uni-Vibe chorus/vibrato guitar effects pedal has remastered an iconic effect that shaped rock music in the late '60s and '70s for today's players. The M68 delivers the same lush, chewy textures that groundbreaking guitarists have used for decades in a standard MXR housing—a fraction of the size and weight of the original—with true-bypass switching. From Cream and Jimi Hendrix to modern virtuosos like John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr., the unmistakable Uni-Vibe sound is essential. Now you can get lost in its warm, undulating tones and bring a vintage vibe to your playing.
Select Between Chorus or Vibrato Modes
With its simple three-knob interface, you can dial in the M68's effect to your taste in short order. First, use the VIBE switch to choose either Chorus Mode—dry signal mixed with pitch-shifted signal—or Vibrato Mode—only pitch-shifted signal. In Chorus Mode, you'll get a full, layered tone, while Vibrato Mode delivers a seasick quality that swells and ebbs.
Sculpt the Speed and Intensity of the Effect
Once you've selected your mode, use the M68's SPEED and DEPTH controls to shape the sound. Adjust the SPEED knob to set the rate of the pitch-shifting effect, from a subtly pulsating texture to a dizzying warp. Then, turn the DEPTH control to increase or decrease the intensity and range of pitch modulation. With these two controls, you can achieve tones from a gentle chorusing to an almost rotary speaker-like swirl.
Achieve Iconic Tones
Plug the MXR M68 Uni-Vibe chorus/vibrato into a tube amp set to break up and instantly achieve the tone that shaped rock. Roll back the DEPTH for a hint of texture or crank it up for a sea of sound. Pair it with distortion, fuzz or overdrive for a thick, swirling lead tone or use it to add shimmer to chords. This pedal provides a portal to achieve the tones of Hendrix, Gilmour and other greats.
Road-Ready and Built to Last
Housed in a durable, gig-ready enclosure, the M68 Uni-Vibe chorus/vibrato is built to handle the demands of life on the road or in the studio. It features a 9V power input, so you can use a standard pedalboard power supply. Rugged footswitches engage and bypass the effect while LEDs indicate the selected mode. The M68 brings the hallowed Uni-Vibe effect to a new generation of players, built for a lifetime of use.

I love this!
Good stuff! I literally use this everyday, and I wasn't huge on Chorus before. There are chorus pedals then there is the Uni-Vibe M68 Chorus Vibrato Guitar Effects Pedal. You have to plug in, and play for the experience. I'd be surprised if you got something else.

Uni-Vibe without the throb.
I really dont know what this is, there is no Uni Vibe throb at all, the throb is what makes a uni vibe a uni vibe, it looks pretty cool though, if you are one of those guitarists that looks at their gear more than they play their gear you will probably like this.

I can easily nail Hendrix, Trower, Travers, Pearl Jam. Nice and syrupy thick sounds.
I wouldn't buy this again

This pedal is great. It gives me a wonderful/beautiful sound for my strat and les paul. My favorite effect on it is the pedal by itself (no vibe) paired with a fuzz to give a Hendrix-y type sound.
It is the sound you think it is

I've been trying to find a pedal that matches the sound that's been rattling around in my head for quite a while now. That sound is that of a Dunlop Uni-Vibe I had some years back, the big silver one that runs on 18 volts. Recently I had a chance to buy one locally, with the expression pedal and everything, so with great eagerness I jumped at the chance to get back an old favorite. I get it home, take it out of its *original* packaging, hook it up to my rig, click it on and…..it is not the uni-vibe I remember. Like the others I've tried (JHS Unicorn, Earthquaker Depths) the throb was so deep and intense that it made me nauseous. It's like eating something that only has one flavor- spicy. You can't taste anything else because your mouth is on fire. That's how the throb in those versions is to me. MXR got it right with this version by tempering the throb and packing it into a standard sized enclosure for a reasonable price. And this thing nails the Hendrix/Gilmour sound. I only have two gripes, one specific to uni-vibes and the other to MXR pedals in general. To uni-vibes: The vibe setting on all uni-vibes is awful. The only thing all the uni-vibe style pedals I've tried over the years have in common is that the vibe setting (as opposed to the chorus setting) always disappoints. To MXR pedals in general: The placement of the power jack should be moved to the top. On this sized enclose for MXR pedals, the power jack sits right below the input jack. It's an odd placement and forces you to do some cable jujitsu if you're using a power adapter. Overall it's an excellent uni-vibe style pedal. Lush, even sound, right sized enclosure, and the price is right where it should be. I'm glad I finally find the sound I've been hearing in my head for so long.

Good pedal for the money, versatile with the Vibrato mode. Built like a tank. Good for live or recording, definite must have effect on any pedal board. Would recommend to anyone.
