I'd just like to point out that this is one of the best DAW controllers I've used thus far. There is no question the intergration was designed for logic user like myself. Boots like a charm, smooth motorized faders that are quiet. My wife even praised its silence in comparison to an old motorized Behringer I graduated from. Paired with the Mackie MCU you've got awsome controll. Only drawback is the backlight issue. The backlight will eventually fail! Mine did, a year and some months later. If used frequently with the highest setting for brllliance you don't stand a chance in terms of illumination to see your settings. Not good!! In fact.. terrible!! Good luck finding the replacement light strip. Found a strip in Germany and ordered a few in case the problem reoccurs. I was very fortunate in being able to repair it myself with my basic electronic knowledge (no thanks to Mackie) I hope they modify this defect for future users that need a precise unit such as this one.

Been using a mackie pro control surface, but 8 tracks just wasn't enough. So I got the extender and it was the best move I could make. I'm getting yet another extender in a couple of months.
