I'm a drummer and purchased this to fatten up the kick drum in small venue's where the house system is garbage or was not able to handle the lower frequencies. It was delivered on a Friday, unboxed at the club 5 minutes before show time, plugged in 3 minutes before show time and without touching a single button worked out great. Don't know how powerful it is yet but in a typical small club 50% output is about perfect.

Best compact sub I have ever used. I use my QSC 18" for larger venue. This one Mackie handles a 40-100 people sized gig extremely well. Finding the "FLOOR" on this sub is really easy.
Fantastic Sub!

I just used this for my first wedding. I used it with my EV's, and it sounded great! Perfect size and plenty of power for the wedding dance floor.

I was a little hesitant to look at 12-inch subs when spec'ing a new system for my church. But, when I heard a demo of the DLM12S, I was blown away. Maybe it's the power (2000W), but I couldn't believe what this compact sub could do. The bass was tight, punchy and went really low. We go direct with the bass a lot and this was really important. Toss in the fact that this sub is TINY and can easily fit into any car trunk and I think that Mackie has a winner. Got the companion 12-inch top boxes and have never been happier with the setup or sound of my PA.
