Mackie DRM Speakers | NAMM 2019

Description
Advanced Technology
The Mackie DRM215 uses technology unlike other speakers in its category. With thoughtful use of Advanced Impulse DSP, this 15” speaker creates rich, clean audio. The DRM215 is able to spread its sound evenly across both vertical and horizontal planes. With its unique FIR filtering approach, this potent PA speaker gives consistent, clear, punchy sound.
User-friendly Interface
The DRM215 leads its class with its innovative DRM Control Dashboard. This user-friendly interface uses a high-contrast color display on the rear panel. A single knob lets you access all of the DRM215’s settings. Customize the screen’s appearance with dimmer and contrast adjustments.
Unmatched Control
Mackie’s DRM215 active powered speaker offers a level of control that is unmatched in its class. The DRM Control Dashboard gives access to more parameters than competing speakers. Choose from a variety of voicing modes and fine-tune EQ settings. Save and recall up to six user presets for different venues and gigs. Set alignment delay control for delay stacks.
Built to Last
The DRM215 is made with premium materials. Its robust cabinet features 15 mm plywood and internal bracing. This improves durability as well as acoustics. The DRM215 also has a tour-grade textured coating to protect it from scrapes and dings from life on the road. Its heavy-duty steel grille is powder-coated. Mackie built the DRM215 for serious professional use, so it’s ready to take whatever you can dish out.

I had set my mind on buying speakers in the same price range as these granted I won't lie I never even gave Mackie a thought. I was looking at jbl and ev, qsc because I knew I wasn't going to be using subs any time soon. So I was looking for something that had clear highs when at high volume but also needed to have some nice Low end. I had a variety of different speakers played for me in front of me so I can hear the differences and these literally out performed every other speaker in its class. Nice crisp sound with some kicking bass and does not get distorted when pushed to high volumes. I have been using theses speakers at all my gigs and man do they rock and get the job done!

I'm blown away by these. I didn't know Mackie made such good speakers, I've never considered them for speakers at that level before but I heard a demo and they beat all the other leading brands for me. They just sound very clear, have a full sound, rich bass and get really loud without distorting. I had no intention of buying them as I was looking at 2 other brands but now I own them for a couple of weeks and still raving about them to everyone. I'd highly recommend to give them a listen if you are in the market.
