Onyx preamps are renowned for their wide frequency response, high headroom, and ability to handle high SPL sources without distortion. With 48V phantom power available on all mic channels, the Onyx12 can power your favorite condenser microphones for studio-quality recordings.
Full Suite of DSP Effects Takes Your Mixes to the Next Level

I purchased this mixer to use at large weddings where I would need multiple mic and channel connections. The sound and effects quality are better than I thought they would be and I especially like how much I can EQ the effects as opposed to other mixers I've used prior.
Probably if I needed another one.

This arrived today from UPS. Shipped well and survived the trip to rural north central Washington state. I'm going to use it primarily as a drum / mic interface for lessons and for recording to D.P. So far it seems good. I plugged it in, no smoke !! So for it being an interface for lessons ? I'm using a wireless lavaliere for talking while lessons are going on. I can mute that channel when playing. I have mics on the drums and have mixed them with the onyx. The routing seems pretty straight forward ??? Using zoom you can route the 1/2 Main outs to USB but they seem to be pre-fader ? If I find differently I Will update if I can. As far as a multichannel interface? Digital performer recognized it right away on my little MacBook and the system preference saw it too. So far so good. It records nicely and at least on a mac you can control the clock from wherever you want. The sound is good. The E.Q. is probably better than I have figured out so far. There are a few oddities to it. The line inputs don't seem to be routed through the mic preamps if you use line in. I might be doing it wrong but I had to use the 13/14 input for the wireless lavaliere mic. It is a 1/4" line level input. For the money if this holds up it should be a tiny powerhouse for what I do. Fingers crossed.
