Had the idea that I wanted a wide stable stand that could hold and store music along with a laptop. Single leg stands are too easily knocked over with the weight off a large laptop computer. This was the best choice I saw and upon receipt, was not disappointed. A little pricey but worth it. Some assembly required with basic hand tools.

  • Great purchase, better than expected!

We bought this for our Church pastor. He needed something for Wednesday nights he could spread his study material out on while he was teaching. It works great, plenty of room, very sturdy and stable, good quality. It should last for years to come so it was a good investment.

  • Good stand. Good price.

Pros: Great size and construction seems very good. Solid. Worth the money. Cons: It's made of tin. Magnets will not adhere to it. My old copy/music stands were the real deal where I could position a script exactly in my line of sight and it be held in place with a small magnet. Can't do that with this stand.

  • Music stand functions as a small desk very well!

This stand also has a 'pocket' behind the main portion, it is smaller than the main platform. I am a musician alright, but the reason I purchased this stand is not for music!!! I put it in front of my exercise bicycle and put my laptop on it. It is study enough to trust the platform not to wobble and dump my laptop on the floor even when I put my laptop and a textbook on the top of the stand. I like the pencil tray although I have put a few small cups in the pencil tray to hold the pens/pencils/highlighters upright so I can more easily reach them. The pencil tray is quite deep and narrow and when I am riding my exercise bike its difficult to get my fingers in-between the two 'lips' of the pencil tray and literally dig around for my pencil or highlighter. The only way the mfg could improve that "pencil" tray---aka baton tray, is to make it wider; because obviously the lip at the bottom needs to be deep for conductors and their large musical scores.

Great for holding music kept in a 3-ring binder. My wife can spread her song sheets 4-pagws wide as she leads worship at our church. Sturdy enough to hold everything.
