    I needed an inexpensive snare stand to hold my 10" side snare, and this one filled the bill. It's double-braced, but it's still really lightweight. It unfolds easily and holds my side snare sturdily. I'm not playing metal, so it's not put under any stress. It simply holds my side snare for those occasions when I decide to play it. Before I ordered it, I was concerned that the basket wouldn't get small enough to hold my side snare securely, but it does.
