I use it as a stand for my ride cymbal, and it works great! The sound is great and it was very easily adjusted.

Everything I have bought that says MAPEX on the logo has not let me down in the least !!! Half the price of the 800 series, but just as strong, well built and I think will last just as long. Doesn't have all the accoutrements of the more expensive 800 series, but if you don't need all the strength of the 800 , then you should be assured that the 400 will do perfectly!!! Looks great and goes well fitting in the mix of your other " black " booms !!!

  • Great for the price!
