Playing and sounding your best is about more than your drums. Feeling comfortable and secure while you play is every bit as important. The Mapex T775 Saddle Top Drum Throne's four-leg design keeps you completely stable and perfectly balanced while playing.

The threaded steel spindle allows precise height adjustment from 18"-26", and a memory lock secures your desired seat height so you're completely comfortable every time you play.

The T775 Throne has a molded motorcycle-style heavily padded seat for superior comfort and support. The removable back rest can be adjusted horizontally and vertically to provide critical lower back support.

Great seat

Seat is VERY comfortable and the lumbar support adds that little extra to make it even better. Hardware of the legs and seat are all very solid and sturdy. Feels much better than regular round (and hard) seats out there. Would buy again.

Get the Ahead Spinal G Instead!!

Used this throne for about 2 years. I'm on the taller side at 6'3" and this throne seemed ok for a while. After about 6 months of use I realized how bad my posture was while playing. It was due to my back hurting and I was trying to compensate for it. A month ago I bought the Ahead spinal G throne. I will never go back. It is so comfortable, my posture is better, and my stamina while playing is much longer. It is great for double pedal work as well. Do yourself a favor and buy the Ahead Spinal G throne. It costs less than the mapex and side by side I'll take the ahead every time. 2 stars on this one because it does its job, but there are much better options at this price point.

I bought open box. So not sure everything was there. I did disassemble entire seat and reasymbled. I tightened checked them really tightened. After complete put together I have used seat very ruffly between drums and guitar for 16 hours now. Nothing loose. Seat perfectly stable. Great on injured low back. Padding is good. My friends have used seat a little and love it. I will buy 3 more like this just to have for rest of the guys.

This is a great throne! It's very comfortable and sturdy but the back rest is unusable for me. I sit pretty far back on the seat and the backrest won't adjust that far. It's too expensive to exchange it so I'll use it without it.

  • Great product! I would recommend to guitarists

Great product, as a guitar player it helps me from slouching over my guitar.

  • This throne did not work for me.

This is a good quality throne but if you're a big guy like me (I'm 300+ lbs.) and you need to use the whole seat , the back rest takes a portion of the seat away so that you're sitting on the edge of the throne. Not at all comfortable. I ended up returning it for a different motorcycle style seat without a backrest. Wouldn't recommend for you big guys out there.

Can you lower the backrest so that's right at the small if your back? Like it would be a perfect 90 degree angle at the seat. And secondly, can the backrest be tightened so it is at fixed angle and doesn't swivel?
Thanks, Erik

Yes, the removable back rest can be adjusted horizontally and vertically to provide critical lower back support. I do not know if the back can be locked. It's got very good ratings in regard to the back support.
