This mic is great, i was surprised how great they sound i was in the market for a condenser mic and trying them out without breaking the bank, most condensers start around $200, i read the reviews for this marantz, and decided to try them, so i bought two, i tried them out and the sound was incredible so i bought two more

I was looking for an inexpensive entry lvl XLR mic. And this one fit the bill nicely. I have it paired with a Focusrite Scarlet and mainly use it for things like streaming or Discord and my voice is clear. And it is much smaller and lighter than the old Yeti USB that I was using before.
Good buy!!

This microphone is a condenser which requires phantom power. Unless your camera supplies 48v of phantom power than it can not connect. This microphone is a condenser which requires phantom power. Unless your camera supplies 48v of phantom power than it can not connect.submitted7 years ago
