10 Watts of Pure Marshall Growl

Perfect for bedroom/practice amp
I currently own a Marshall DSL 40 and it's too loud especially in the evening. I was looking for a simple small practice guitar amplifier. I happen to see the Marshall MG10. I like how small and light it is. The sound is good enough to get a productive practice in. The clean channel sounds good. The overdrive channel is a little bit tricky to dial in if you're trying to imitate/emulate the guitar players you want to sound like. Overall it's a good amplifier if you want something inexpensive, simple, and not too loud to upset your neighbors or people that live with you. If you need it more quiet, it does have a headphone jack.

Decent practice amp with terrible distortion
I've owned this amp for a few years. With the clean channel engaged, it sounds great with pedals (mxr super comp into boss od) and gets surprisingly loud for a small apartment. I dont think it would be loud enough for most band practice settings as far as volume. The biggest gripe I have with it is that it defaults to the distortion channel, which is useless for any application. Muddy, buzzy, no low end, no smoothness... just rigid cold distortion that muddied your notes even with the gain at the lowest settings. It's in fact the worst distortion I've ever used. Whenever I turn it on, I immediately switch the channel to clean.

Cutest little Marshall amp in existence. Perfect for my one bedroom apartment. My neighbors are actually pretty cool, so I don't want to annoy them *too* much! All kidding aside, it's a great amp for practicing, riffing, or just rocking out.
Love this product, good enough for a mini practice amp

I went back to playing electric the other day after being out of the loop for the last couple of years. I'm 64 and had a stroke last November which as a result, left the fingertips numb on my left hand. I bought a used, Squier Standard Strat from 2004 which still had the plastic on it and never used. The seller threw this amp in with the package and it too, was never used. The only good quality of this amp, is the clean channel and as far as the gain is concerned, It's just too muddy and distorted. This would be good for a kid who is just starting off but, I have over 50 years playing experience and I have heard better.
Great product!
